Leander Issues Copy

While listening to hundreds of Leander voters, Mike has heard some of the issues most important to Leander citizens.  If he has not yet heard what is important to you, please fill out and submit the form below or talk to Mike the next time you see him.

“It’s time for courageous leaders to emerge in our country.  Far too many of our elected representatives are lacking the courage to stand for their constituents.  Mike is a man of courage and will be your voice on the Leander City Council.”

Mike is here to listen to you and be your representative.

Want to get involved?

We are forming teams in various areas of Leander.  If you would like to make a difference in our city, we have a place for you.  Some folks are good at organizing events, some are good at installing yard signs, some are good at connecting their friends with the candidate, some are good at data analysis, etc.  We each have something to offer.  If you would like to be a part of a winning team, we want your help!

Want to help, but don’t know where to start or what you can do?  Just contact us – we need help in many different areas!

Main issues

Housing

Too many high density apartments.

“Quote here.”

The problem.

Proposed solution.

Infrastructure

We need to update Leander’s infrastructure to provide adequate clean water and high-speed internet in our city.

Expound on the problem.

Suggest a solution that we can work towards.

CapMetro

Mike is against wasteful spending, and views CapMetro as a huge burden on Leander taxpayers, who pay half of all our sales tax revenue to CapMetro for less than 1% of our citizens to ride seven miles down the road to the Lakeline Station in Austin.  There are much more efficient ways to provide public transport at a small fraction of the current $9 Million annual cost of CapMetro.

(You shared at a meeting that at that rate of spending we could have purchased a $20k car for each person who rode CapMetro, every year. – I think it would be good to include that.)

Election Integrity

Mike is already working to restore election integrity at the county level, and he will expand those efforts to Leander city elections as well.
